Private and Group Swim Lessons at FFC Union Station

FFC and Grit endurance have teamed up to offer the opportunity for FFC members, Grit members, and the community to learn how to swim! Whether you are looking to up your game or if you are a brand-new swimmer, FFC is offering private and group swim lessons.

Group Swim Program
Learn to swim more efficiently in this 60-minute technically focused group swim program. Each week, we will work on specific foundational aspects of the swim stroke as well as incorporating a variety of fun and creative sets to help you improve! This class is focused on beginner and intermediate swimmers, but even advanced swimmers will see benefits! FFC members can try your first class for free!

Swimmers should be able to swim 50 yards consecutively to join this class. If you are brand new to swimming, please sign up for our private lessons.

One class per week (Mondays or Thursdays):

  • FFC Members: $105 per month
  • Non-Members: $115 per month

Two classes per week (Mondays and Thursdays):

  • FFC Members: $160 per month
  • Non-Members: $170 per month

Group Swim Schedule:

  • Monday evenings at 6:30 PM
  • Thursday evenings at 5:30 PM

Private Swim Lessons
Learn to swim more efficiently with a 60-minute in person swim lesson where we will break down
your biggest areas of opportunity and help you understand how to improve upon them in the future!
All levels are welcome, from advanced to those who are learning to swim!

FFC Members:

Non-Members:

  • Private Swim lessons x4 sessions $420 / Single Session $110

FFC Union Station HVAC System Should Be Replaced by Labor Day

Great news, FFC Union Station members! Our brand new rooftop HVAC units, ordered late last year, are on track to arrive in August and barring any unforeseen circumstances, should be installed prior to Labor Day.

Our current units may experience occasional short term outages. Until our brand new units can be installed, we will keep the app banner messages up to date on days where areas of the club may be warmer than usual. Please know you may use any other of our nine FFC locations when this occurs.

Walk Club at FFC Union Station

New Group Fitness Class at FFC Union Station!

Heated Vinyasa Yoga
Starts Saturday. April 1 from 9-10 AM with Olivia Corcoran

Heated Vinyasa Flow is practiced in a studio heated to 94 degrees and utilizes the postures in a flowing manner, connecting each posture with a breath. This class is appropriate for all levels.

Bootcamps Forming Now at FFC Union Station

Fundamentals of Barbell Squats BEGINNER LEVEL
Does the barbell and squat rack make you nervous? Did you know squatting is a full-body engagement? In this class you will learn:

  • The basics of the squat rack and how to adjust it to your needs
  • Form correction and how to properly engage to protect your body from injury
  • How to trust your body under load and gain confidence in your ability to safely lift heavy

This will be a 4-week course in which you will be required to attend each course to gain maximal benefits. The cost will be $128 for 4 sessions.

High-Intensity Interval Training Strength Class
Are you looking to become stronger while shedding fat? In this Strength/HIIT Hybrid class, you will:

  • Increase your VO2 Max
  • Focus on form and reps at a higher intensity and weight, instead of time
  • Build Muscle while shedding fat

We will be hosting multiple formats of this class for you to enjoy either a full-body workout OR a more targeted approach!

A-La-Carte Sessions: $35/ session

Over the summer, FFC began a partnership with Grit Endurance to offer swim lessons at the club. FFC Member Nisha Harish recently shared her experience in the swim program with us:

“I’ve found the swim workouts with Jim Levesque of Grit Endurance to be precisely what I’ve been looking for. Although swimming in a group can be quite intimidating, the swim workouts at Union Station are fun, interactive and very structured, which is exactly what I was looking for. I especially like the fact that the focus is on technique, so that there is plenty of scope for improvement, whether you’re a newbie swimmer (like me!) or a seasoned athlete. Whether you’re looking to swim only in the pool, swim in open water or compete in a triathlon, Grit Endurance caters for every type of swimmer and makes these goals very accessible for FFC members and non-members alike.”

Open Play Pickleball at FFC Union Station

Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, and is not only fun to play but also a great workout. It’s played with a paddle, which is smaller than a tennis racquet but larger than a ping-pong paddle. The Pickleball is unique, with holes through it like a wiffle ball. It is played on a badminton-size court and all equipment is provided by FFC and laid out for you to use.

Bring your friends in for a fun game of pickleball during our Open Play Pickleball hours – Monday – Friday from 9 – 11 AM Tuesdays from 7 PM – 8:30 PM and Saturday mornings from 8 AM – 10 AM on the basketball court.

Learn How To Play Pickleball at FFC Union Station

It’s the fastest-growing sport in the country — but do you know how to play pickleball? From young kids to older adults, beginners to pros, and fierce competitors to social players, people of all ages, abilities, and levels of competitiveness are playing pickleball. And there’s a reason for its wide spread: it’s one of the rare sports that offers play for a large population. Between the size of the court, the rules and method of play, it’s really easy for anyone to learn!

Learn how to play with lessons at FFC Union Station. Classes are offered on Tuesday evenings.

We are excited to welcome Trisha Noa to FFC Union Station! Trisha will be heading up the Fitness Department, which is inclusive of all trainers, Pilates instructors and our rental programs. Trisha comes from OrangeTheory Fitness, where she was a general manager and head coach. She graduated from Illinois State University Normal with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science.
