Congratulations to FFC Oak Park’s September member of the month, Shawn Bills! Shawn answered a few questions for us about being a member at FFC:

  1. What does membership at FFC mean to you?

The customer service that is displayed every time I walk through the revolving doors. I have a phobia of being on elevators alone or with a large number of people. FFC’s staff has been so willing to assist me regularly and it has helped me tremendously.

  1. When I am at FFC you will find me…

Hobnobbing, incorporating what I have learned through my trainer Greg whom I absolutely adore and pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

  1. I work out to…

My original plan was due to an unfortunate diagnosis. Now things are under control due to exercise and lifestyle changes daily. My workout routine is for peace of mind, posture, strength and everything I’m still learning.

Member of the Month – Lauren Kornutick

Congratulations to FFC Oak Park’s July member of the month, Lauren! Lauren answered a few questions for us about being a member at FFC:

  1. What does membership at FFC mean to you?

I joined FFC to facilitate a lifestyle change after gastric bypass surgery. Since joining, I have lost about half of my total body weight and 75% of my excess weight. I have regained mobility and can even run! This dramatic change would not have been possible if I had not found a routine I could stick with – thank you FFC!

  1. When I am at FFC you will find me…

At any of the evening group fitness classes. I started out taking heated classes because they were easier on my joints. But now that I can move better, nothing is off-limits. You might even find me in back-to-back classes!

  1. I work out to…

Continue to build strength and endurance. Most importantly, to stay golden!
