What does membership at FFC mean to you?

Membership at FFC to me means Fitness, Friends, and Community. Joining the gym was something I did as a way to better my health. However, I did not expect to meet so many people that would become friends, but also give me a better sense of the local community. I did not realize how much of a third community I was missing and was able to find by joining FFC. Besides helping me better my health, it has helped make Oak Park/River Forest feel more like home since moving here in 2024.

You can find me dancing at Werq and Zumba, splashing in AquaFit, or sweating it out in Endura!

I work out to…

I workout to better my health so I can continue eating delicious desserts!

Hispanic Heritage Month Zumba

Help us celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with our Team teach Zumba! Zumba fuses Latin/international rhythms and movements. These easy-to-follow dance moves feature intermittent interval training that includes fast and slow rhythms. Fitness Variations help add interval training to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. No prior dance experience necessary. It’s a Salsa, Merengue, Belly Dance, Reggaeton, Hip Hop and more DANCE party!

October Parents’ Night Out: Spooky Halloween Party

Join us for a Spooky Halloween Party at Parents’ Night Out on Friday, October 24 from 5–8 PM! Kids ages 3 months–12 years will enjoy costumes, games, and dinner (chicken tenders, chips & juice boxes included) while you enjoy a night out.

Registration is required by Tuesday, October 21 with Marianne at mfrianeza@ffc.com. The cost is $35 per child / $45 for two for members; non-members are welcome for $5 more per child.

Member Appreciation Party

Please join us on Thursday, September 18 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM for our annual Member Appreciation Party! Bring the entire family. There will be the adult portion on the sundeck with Live Music, food offerings and beverages. On the basketball court there will be fun for the kids with a bouncy house, climbing wall and other fun activities. Guests are welcome.

Party Like it’s 1999 to Benefit Animal Care League

What does membership at FFC mean to you?

To me, membership represents commitment. My commitment to challenging myself. Being disciplined, and not being afraid of trial and error. It also represents consistency and a reminder to trust the process and that we are all a work in progress. Membership means there is no end “goal”. Self investment is the goal.

When I am at FFC you will find me…

Typically early afternoons during the week.

I work out to…

Have a healthy mind. What began as physical therapy after a life changing injury became my therapy in general. Exercise helps keep me focused in addition to healing injuries over time. Add in some bumping music, and my workouts are always a bit of a fun time for me.

August Parent’s Night Out – Circus Time

Join us for this month’s Parents’ Night Out, a fun-filled event for kids ages 3 months to 12 years on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The evening includes chicken tenders, chips, and juice boxes for all attendees! Registration is required by Tuesday, August 26, and the cost is $35 per child or $45 for two for FFC members. Join us on Friday, June 27 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM for our Island Luau Party! Kids ages 3 months to 12 years will have a blast dressing up in big tropical flowers and all things tiki while enjoying games, fun activities, and a Hawaiian-themed night to remember. Chicken tenders, chips, and juice boxes will be provided.

Sound Bath Meditation

Join us on Saturday, June 21 from 6:00 – 7:00 PM for a Healing Sound Bath and Guided Meditation. Sound and meditation can help clear energy blocks and allow you to release and let go things your body no longer needs. Sound baths can restore harmony and peace in the body. Bring your favorite pillow and/or blankets or other props. Payment must be made with registration or registration will be cancelled. $20 for members and $30 for non members, invite your friends!

Thursday Twilight Taco Party

Join us on June 5 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM for a fun-filled evening on the sundeck (weather permitting) with a delicious taco bar and refreshing beverages. In the event of rain, we’ll move the party to the lounge. Solo taco purchases will also be available, and limited beverages will be provided by Maya Del Sol.
Please mark your calendars and come hungry! The cost is $20 for the taco bar and a bottle of water. Guests are welcome!
