New Group Fitness Format Exclusive Sneak Peek

A new group fitness format, Progressive Obsession, is in the pipeline! Join us for a sample class on September 18 at 9:00 AM and let us know what you think before it officially launches! This total body interval class includes upper body strength, core, and ‘PROgressions’ of lower body conditioning for an intense workout. The class takes you through three, 9-minute blocks followed by a high-intensity finisher and ab/low back section.

Annual Pool Cleaning At FFC Lincoln Park

Heads up, FFC Lincoln Park members. Our pool will be closed starting Saturday, September 16 for yearly maintenance and cleaning and will reopen on Monday, September 25. Members are welcome to use the indoor pool at other FFC locations during this time.

FFC Anniversary Celebration!

Please join the FFC Oak Park team in celebrating FFC’s 39th Anniversary and launch of our 40th Year celebration on Thursday, September 21 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Fun for the entire family – enjoy music, food, and beverages. We will have a bouncy house and other fun kid activities on the basketball court with an adult’s party on the sundeck. This event is complimentary – guests are welcome!

  1. What does membership at FFC mean to you? 

The customer service that is displayed every time I walk through the revolving doors. I have a phobia of being on elevators alone or with a large number of people. FFC’s staff has been so willing to assist me regularly and it has helped me tremendously.

Hobnobbing, incorporating what I have learned through my trainer Greg whom I absolutely adore and pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

My original plan was due to an unfortunate diagnosis. Now things are under control due to exercise and lifestyle changes daily. My workout routine is for peace of mind, posture, strength and everything I’m still learning.

 

 

 

Volleyball League at FFC Coming Soon!

The league runs from Oct 2 – Nov 6 and plays every Monday from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. The championship game is on Nov 13 – a $50 gift card will be awarded to the team champs!

FFC Old Town Power Meet

Come join Sunday, September 30 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM for a friendly competition consisting of Bench & Deadlift!

Each month, 2 lifts will be tested with guidance from our Certified Personal Trainers. Participants will have 3 attempts at each lift with roughly 30 minutes of warm-up time. Best attempts will be added to the Old Town Strength Leaderboard the following week! 

Prepare for this month’s lifts of Bench & Squat by joining a Small Group Training class or booking a free consultation with one of our trainers!

“Lift Heavy” Classes at FFC Old Town!

Join Jack Russell for “Lift Heavy”, a 60-minute weight lifting bootcamp focused on compound functional weight training. Classes will take place Mondays at 5:00 PM and Thursdays at 7:00 AM on the Turf at FFC Old Town. You’ll experience continued guidance and support as you push for new PRs and increase your strength week over week. Great for functional performance, strength, and muscle building. All levels are welcome!

HEAT at FFC Old Town

Join Allie Kersten for  “HEAT”, a 60-minute circuit-style HIIT class focused on full body strength and cardio fitness. Classes will take place on Tuesdays at 7:00 AM and Saturdays at 9:00 AM on the Turf!! You’ll learn new movements while increasing your strength and power with ongoing instruction and support. New Small Group Training Class: LANDMINES!

Introducing our newest Small Group Training class: “Landmines”

Landmines utilize a barbell fixed at one end to create a more functional and natural movement pattern for strength and power exercises. Landmine training incorporates forward intention, great for those looking to improve their athleticism, lift heavy without a barbell on their back, or expand their training regimen with a new way to move.

New to the landmine? No worries! Our Landmine University Certified Trainers will be teaching a wide range of exercises, providing a full-body strength workout to help you level up from basic to advanced movements. Be ready for a program that stacks and keeps challenging you each week, regardless of experience.

Goal Setting and Fitness Program Layout

Do you need some direction in the gym? Attending this workshop will teach you how to set goals and organize a program so that you adhere to them! If you are brand new to working out or want to improve your experience, this workshop is for you! The workshop will meet in the community room on Thursday, September 21 at 6:00 PM.

Parents Night Out: STAR WARS NIGHT

Calling all kids ages 5 – 12 yrs old. Join us for a fun night of Star Wars-themed games, crafts, pizza, and a movie on Saturday, September 23 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.

Faction Drop in Class at FFC Park Ridge

Faction is our paid-for strength training program that we are offering free to members on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM throughout September. No reservation is required, just stop by the turf to join in on the fun!
