OPRF Chamber Health & Wellness Fair

Please join us this year on April 23 for the 7th Annual Health & Wellness Fair, presented by RUSH Oak Park Hospital and hosted right here at FFC Oak Park. This year’s fair will include a record number of free health screenings and services from participants that include RUSH Oak Park Hospital, Riveredge Hospital, West Suburban Medical Center, the University of Illinois Cancer Center, B-Health, and many more. The climbing wall will be open and the Kids Club will be available during the event!

Season 2 starts Apr 19, 2023, and ends Jun 14, 2023
Official league game time: 9 AM – 11 AM Every Wednesday
Open play game time: 9 AM – 11 AM Every Monday & Friday
Post-season party: June 14 – June 23 depending on everyone’s availability

9-Week Season – $125 – Members
9-Week Season – $225 – Non-Members
Open Play drop-in – $20 – Non-Members (FFC Members play for free)

Prizes
All places – Pickleball exclusive T-shirt + 1 complimentary Training/Pilates session for joining

Matches will be played as doubles with alternating partners. After registration, you’ll receive an invite to a team reach group chat for communication and updates on who’s winning.

FFC Old Town Trainer Spotlight: Allie Kersten

Hi FFC! My name is Allie Kersten. I am from Chicago and graduated from Simmons University in Boston with my Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition. I specialize in sports performance with individual and team athletes, but I still love teaching anyone new movements or helping someone improve on what they already know. My goal as a trainer is to give you a challenging yet rewarding workout and help you to be confident in your body. I love when my clients have a love/hate relationship with my training because the movements are difficult and tiring but make you feel accomplished and strong. I personally try to balance my movement and lifestyle by setting my goals toward strength and muscle gain one day and then working on joint health and injury prevention another day. When I’m not in the gym I am crocheting or painting sneakers with my friends or cooking with my family. I have a strong belief in a balance of the mind, body, and spirit and work to be better for myself every day.

Easter Bunny Photos at FFC Park Ridge!

Hop on over and come take your picture with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 8th, 12-2 PM. Each member 3-12 yrs is $5.00/non-member $8.00 and will receive a special goodie bag from the bunny. Heated Vinyasa Flow is practiced in a studio heated to 94 degrees and utilizes the postures in a flowing manner, connecting each posture with a breath. This class is appropriate for all levels.

Heated Hatha Yoga focuses on the postures of physical well-being to balance body, mind, and spirit. Learn simple breathing exercises, basic yoga poses, light meditation, and relaxation techniques. This class is appropriate for all levels and it is heated to 94 degrees.

Bootcamps Forming Now at FFC Union Station

Fundamentals of Barbell Squats BEGINNER LEVEL
Does the barbell and squat rack make you nervous? Did you know squatting is a full-body engagement? In this class you will learn:

  • The basics of the squat rack and how to adjust it to your needs
  • Form correction and how to properly engage to protect your body from injury
  • How to trust your body under load and gain confidence in your ability to safely lift heavy

This will be a 4-week course in which you will be required to attend each course to gain maximal benefits. The cost will be $128 for 4 sessions.

High-Intensity Interval Training Strength Class
Are you looking to become stronger while shedding fat? In this Strength/HIIT Hybrid class, you will:

  • Increase your VO2 Max
  • Focus on form and reps at a higher intensity and weight, instead of time
  • Build Muscle while shedding fat

We will be hosting multiple formats of this class for you to enjoy either a full-body workout OR a more targeted approach!

A-La-Carte Sessions: $35/ session
